500g chicken mince 2- 3 potatoes cut into quarters ½ cup peas1 medium onion 2 small tomatoes, grated¼ cup oil 1 tablespoon red ginger garlic masala
Whole Spices: 2 cloves 1 star anise 1 cinnamon stickA few curry leaves
Ground spices: 1 ½ teaspoon fine Coriander (dhania (coriander))1 ½ teaspoon Garam masala 1 teaspoon fine Cumin (Jeeru (Cumin)) 1 teaspoon Methi (Fenugreek) masala½ teaspoon chili powder 1 teaspoon Kashmiri masala 1 teaspoon tumeric 1 tablespoon Shan’s chicken briyani premix spiceSalt
METHOD
Heat oil over medium heat, once heated add in onion and whole spices. When inions start to soften add in ginger garlic masala. Cook for 2 minutes then add in grated tomatoes. Once the oil starts to separate add ground spices,potatoes and peas with about ¼ cup water. Cook till potatoes start to soften, add alittle water only if necessary.
Once potatoes start to soften, add chicken mince. Cook till potatoes and mince are done completely.
INFO & TIPS
put potatoes in the microwave for about 7 mins before I started cooking, you could even pre boil them. This speeds up the cooking process.
