INGREDIENTS
2 onions (chopped)1 kg chicken pieces (cut into 8 with bones)2-3 tomatoes (grated)Spices:1 teaspoon chilli powder1 teaspoon halad (tumeric) 2 teaspoon biriship1 heaped teaspoon Jeera1 Heaped teaspoon Danya1 teaspoon Garam masala3 teaspoon tomatoe pasteSqueeze lemon juice1 teaspoon brown sugar1 teaspoon garlic paste ½ teaspoon ginger paste1 teaspoon coarse salt (I use less salt in my food, you can add to taste)
METHOD
Braise onions in butter / oilAdd in whole cinnamon stick, cloves, pepper corns, braise until golden brown.Add masala, tomatoes and let cook for 5min (Add 1 cup water)
Add chicken - cook until done (15-20min)When Gravy is thick, add freshly chopped danya(don’t be shy).
INFO & TIPS
Serve with rice and mixed veg (frozen- carrots, peas, corn), oven baked wedges and most definitely Kuchumbar!
