Got it from the internet, but tweaked it to my liking
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup softened butter- 1 egg- 1 tablespoon vanilla essence (you can add your own choice of essence. I tend to use almond or lemon instead of vanilla sometimes) - Β½ teaspoon baking powder- 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda/baking soda- 2 ΒΎ cups flour- 1 Β½ cups sugar- pinch of coarse salt (to balance)- 1 cup choc chips or Chopped chocolate of your choice. (personally prefer chopped than chips)
METHOD
> Preheat oven to 190Β°C.
> Mix all the dry ingredients together. > Cream butter and sugar together.> Mix in the egg and essence. > Combine the wet and dry ingredients.> Add chocolate
> Place grease proof paper on your baking tray. > Scoop dough into your hand and roll into balls of your own sizes. > Bake for 7 - 9 minutes. > Place on a drying rack until cool.

INFO & TIPS
> You can make this without the chocolate and decorate it or eat it as is. It is still delicious.
> For a kick I put a 1/4 of the dough into a different bowl and added a tsp of chilli flakes. Shaped it into sticks and served it with chocolate fondue.
