3 eggs - room temperature 200g butter or margarine - soften 2 cups self raising flour 1 cup sugar 1 cup milk or buttermilk 1 ½ teaspoon vanilla essence Beat sugar, eggs and butter till creamy and fluffy. Add flour, mix then add in milk and vanilla essence. Bake at 180 degrees for 20mins or till a skewer comes out clean.
