INGREDIENTS
500g tagliatelle or spaghetti 2 tablespoons butter 2 heaped tablespoons Origanium 250g pastrami or other beef. Can also use chicken fillet cut into cubes. Salt 1 tablespoon black ground pepper 1 cup of mozzarella cheese 2 tablespoons crushed garlic 1 medium onion 1 Punnet mushrooms cleaned and roughly chopped 1 cup of fresh cream
METHOD
Cook pasta as per packet instructions until done. Drizzle olive oil over once drained so that the pasta doesn't stick together Fry chopped onion in butter until translucent Add the garlic and braise for 5 minutes Add mushrooms and sautée for a further 5 minutes Add pastrami strips and mix well. Ensure that your stove is on medium heatNow Add the cream and cheese, salt to taste, Origanium and pepper Mix well and allow the sauce to thicken by simmering Once you have a creamy texture ( if too thick add some milk) add the pasta and mix until pasta evenly coated with sauce. Sprinkle over fresh chopped parsley if preferred Serve warm with garlic bread and parmesan cheese shavings
