Mixture of a few recipes tried over time
INGREDIENTS
250 g Butter1 ¼ cup semolina (Taystee Wheat) 1 tin 410g Evaporated Milk200ml milk2 eggs1 tin condensed milk OR 1 cup sugar½ cup klim powder 1 full teaspoon Elachi (cardomom) powder 2 teaspoon egg yellow coloring 2 whole Elachi (cardomom)1 whole cinnamon stick
METHOD
Heat butter on medium heat till melted. Add whole Elachi (cardomom) and cinnamon sticks. Then add semolina and braise well.
In a measuring jug add tin of ideal (Evaporated) milk and then top up with regular milk till you have 600 ml of liquid. Add to the liquid your eggs, klim powder, condensed milk OR sugar, egg yellow coloring, Elachi (cardomom) powder and beat together.
Add liquid mixture to your braised semolina and stir continuously to avoid lumps forming. Once Sojee (semolina flour) starts to separate from the sides of the pot it's done. At this stage you can add another sprinkle of Elachi (cardomom) powder if you like the taste of it.
Serve with a drizzle of Nestlé cream and coloured badaams or as is.
