INGREDIENTS
- Pastry of choice- Potatoes (Boiled and Mashed with a bit of Salt and butter)- Cheese, grated- Filling of Choice(For these I used fillet steak, cubed and cooked dry with sliced onions and spices, once cooked I added in 2 tablespoon Mayo, 1 tablespoon Tomatoe Sauce and 1 tablespoon homemade chili sauce- sprinkle of Mixed Herbs
METHOD
- Cut pastry in squares big enough to fit in your muffin pan. - Grease the muffin pan with spray an cook nicely along the sides and at the bases.- Put the cut pastry in the muffin pan, often I find the sides are not high enough to cover all the pan, but that's ok. The corners will also stick out, that's also ok. - Put in a spoonful of filling.- Next, make a little ball of mash and press down in you hand to form a disc. Can also be piped on. Place on top of filling, the mash should cover the sides where the pastry doesn't in the pan.- Sprinkle cheese and mixed herbs. - Bake in oven pre-heated oven on 180° till pastry is done.
Enjoy🌸
INFO & TIPS
*- The recipe is made with steak, but I've made these with leftover curries, butter chicken, basically whatever u feel like😁
- when putting the pastry in the muffin pan, I like to fold in the edges that stick out after putting in the filling, cause it bakes like a flower*
