INGREDIENTS
500g steak minceProcess 2 onions fine 2 tablespoons of oil2 cinnamon stick, 2 Elachi (cardomom). 1 teaspoon Whole jeeru (cumin) 1 teaspoon fennel seeds 3 cloves till 1 teaspoon ginger masala. 1 teaspoon Salt. Β½ teaspoon Turmeric. 1 teaspoon dhania (coriander). 1 teaspoon jeeru (cumin) 1 teaspoon crushed chillies2 potatoes cut in small cubes1 big tomato1 carrotΒ½ cups green/red pepper1 cup of water
METHOD
5 cups cake flour5 tablespoon cremora(or any coffee creamer)1 & Β½ teaspoon salt2 tablespoon sugar1 packet instant dry yeastΒΌ cup oil2 cups water (I added 2 tablespoons extra)
Sift dry ingredients in a big bowlAdd the sugar and yeast and mix wellAdd all the liquids and knead well for about 10 minutes until it's soft and like elasticLet it rest in an oiled bowl. Covered for about 2 hours..Knock it down and roll it out fairly thick.. Cut it into squares or make individual ones and let it rise again another 30 minutes..Deep fry in MED HOT oilNot too hot or too coldFry till golden brown and drain well..Place in a big Tupperware with paper towels to absorb all oil..

Mince curry
Wash and drain 500g mince well
Process 2 onions and braise in 2 tablespoons of oil with 2 cinnamon stick, 2 Elachi (cardomom). 1 teaspoon Whole jeeru (cumin) 1 teaspoon fennel seeds and 3 cloves till colour changes.Add 1 teaspoon ginger masala. 1 teaspoon Salt. Β½ teaspoon Turmeric. 1 teaspoon dhania (coriander). 1 teaspoon jeeru (cumin) 1 teaspoon crushed chillies and braise a few minutes.Add the mince and break up the lumps as you mix it through. Cook 5 minutes then add Β½ cups cubed green/ted pepper and braise until water evaporates.Blend tomato and carrot until pureed then add cut up potatoes add to pot.Add 1 cup water to simmer... Cook the potatoes till soft on lowAdd 1 teaspoon paprika taste for salt allow water to reduce.

INFO & TIPS
Carrot can be grated i prefer to blend for texture. I rolled the vetkoek out a bit to thin in shaa Allah next time it will be thicker π
