INGREDIENTS
500g mussels (cleaned and washed)2 tablespoons butter2 tablespoons onion (diced)½ teaspoon garlic powder¼ teaspoon ground black pepper1 teaspoon lemon juice250ml fresh cream2 tablespoons steers mustard sauce2 tablespoons steers garlic sauce¼ cup milk
METHOD
Steam mussels in water ± 10 minutes. Drain and re-steam a further 10 minutes. Discard water and keep mussels aside.Lightly braise onions, garlic powder and pepper in butter.Add lemon juice, fresh cream, mustard sauce, garlic sauce and milk.Mix till smooth.Gently place in mussels and simmer on low heat for 5 minutes.
