INGREDIENTS
1 Jar of nutella
1 200g slab whole nut, grated
1 roll of puff pastry
METHOD
1.Preheat oven to 180 degrees
2.Open out your puff pastry it should be a rectangle /square
sheet, place it on a floured surface if its very soft. Using the
plastic sheet it comes in makes it easier to roll
3.Spread Nutella on the pastry evenly almost right to the edges
(leave a 1/2cm border around the pastry)
4. Grate the whole nut over the nutella
5. Now using a steady hand and the plastic sheet,slowly roll up
the pastry as if you were rolling up a swiss roll. Make sure its
rolled up tight enough so that it wont open up when slicing
6. If the dough is gone too soft , place the roll in the freezer for
about ten minutes. If not then slice the roll into about 3cm slices
and place on a non stick baking pan (at this point you can freeze
them and use as needed and bake from frozen)
8. Bake them for about 45 minutes or until they\\\'re baked right
through
INFO & TIPS
Tip - if the whirls seem like they\'re browning too quickly in the
oven , turn down the temperature to 160 degrees after 30 mins
If you want them to be very crisp , slice them thinner ,it\'s much
easier to do if you freeze it for a few mins and use a very sharp
knife.
Great served with tea/coffee or as a sweet treat
