INGREDIENTS
3 eggs2 Cup flour 250g butter1 1/4c caster sugar2 teaspoon baking powder1/2 teaspoon salt1/3 Cup poppy seeds 4 tablespoon lemon juice15g lemon rind1/4c water
Syrup:1 Cup sugar1/2cup water1/2 Cup lemon juice
METHOD
Beat butter and sugar until light and creamyAdd lemon rind. Add eggs one at a time and beat until well blended Sift dry ingredients then add poppybseeds to sifted flour mix Mix together water and lemon juiceAlternately add in the flour and water mixture to the egg mixture till all is well blendedGrease a pan and bake atv180 for 40mins
Syrup Boil ingredients together until Syrup thickensPiece top of cake and pour over syrup
