INGREDIENTS
1kg steak mince3 onions chopped1 tablespoon crushed garlic1 1/2 tablespoon salt*1 tablespoon dhana*1 tablespoon jeera*1 1/2 tablespoon chillie powder*1/4 tablespoon turmeric½ tub tomato puree1 green pepper chopped (omitted)1 bottle all joy pasta sauceLasagne sheets
White sauce:3 tablespoon butter3 Cup milk3 tablespoon flour (I used maizena (corn flour))2 Cup cheeseSalt and pepper
METHOD
Braise onion and garlic in oil until lightly brownedAdd mince and allow to cook a bit breaking up any lumpsAdd masalas cook for 5 minutes then add in tomato puree and peppers and cook for a further 5minsLastly Add in pasta sauce and cook until almost dry (I left mine saucy)
White sauce:Melt butter in a saucepan.Add flour to milk and mix together, then add to melted butter and stirOnce milk is hot add I cheese and continue stirring until mixture has thickened Season with salt and pepperI added mixed herbs and a dash of nutmeg and crushed garlic
Layering:Add white sauce to the bottom of your PyrexTop with lasagne sheetsAdd another layer of white sauce then top with half your mince mixture.Repeat layers one more time ending with lasagne sheets and white sauce
Bake at 180 for 35mins covered with foil Thereafter, remove foil, top with cheese and bake uncovered for 10 to 15minsAllow to stand for 15 to 20mins before serving
