6 large golden delicious apples2 teaspoon cinnamon powder5-6 tablespoon brown sugar¼ teaspoon nutmeg powder4-5 tablespoon Butter
Sauté finely chopped apples with all above ingredients; add a splash of water if required. When cooked and tender, allow to cool first before filling pastry dough (I used ready cut pastry delights). Brush with egg and sprinkle cinnamon sugar. Freezer suitable. You can play around with the shapes and patterns. Bake and serve with warm custard or frozen vanilla ice cream. Add a dash of cinnamon and some maple syrup or honey. It’s a decadent sweet treat.

Optional- add a handful of currants or sultanas when cooking the apples.
