INGREDIENTS
Drizzling these with chocolate would make them taste exactly like choc-kits!
100 g butter1 cup brown sugar 1 heaped teaspoon cinnamon powder 1 egg
1 and ½ cup oats½ cup dessicated coconut½ cup chopped macadamia nuts¾ cup flour½ teaspoon baking powder½ teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
METHOD
Mix together butter, sugar, egg and cinnamon.Add in all the dry ingredients and mix well together.Portion into 1 tablespoon size (30g) balls and bake in a well preheated oven on 180°c for 10-12 minutes.(CHECK early as these get too brittle if overbaked. Remember even if the centres are slightly soft, they will harden a little after cooling.)
INFO & TIPS
>Can drizzle with melted chocolate if desired or add it chopped to the dough.
>Macadamia nuts don't really have much flavour, so almonds/pecans might be a nice change.
>We've made these as super cute mini cookies (about 15g balls) and they were very nice that way too!
