For sharing this golden oldie recipe
INGREDIENTS
4 eggs, seperated⅓ cup of Castor sugar¼ cup Oil¼ cup Cocoa powder⅓ cup of Water ½ cup Castor sugar1 cup Flour1&½ teaspoon Baking powder
Icing: 80 gr Butter 2 cups Icing sugar4 tablespoon Cocoa powder 2 tablespoon Milk
METHOD
Beat the egg whites stiff. Add in ⅓ of a cup of Castor sugar and beat a little more.Set aside.
Add the yolks into the mixing bowl with ½ a cup of Castor sugar and beat well.Mix the cocoa, oil and water together, pour into the yolks once done. Thereafter add the flour and baking powder in and beat slowly.Once done remove from the mixer and gently mix in the egg whites with a spatula. Pour into a well greased cake pan and bake on 180 degrees till done.Remove from the oven and set aside to cool.Once cooled, decorate with the icing and chocolate curls.
Icing Method :Cream the butter and sugar. Add the Milk and Cocoa powder in and beat well.
