INGREDIENTS
1 egg1 TB white sugar1 TB brown sugarVanilla essencePinch of salt
70 ml oil80 ml milk1 c flour 1 teaspoon baking powder
1 medium sized grated green appleRaisinsAlmondsCinnamon sugar.
Apricot jam (melted)
METHOD
In a large bowl,beat together the egg,sugar, vanilla essence and salt.
Then add the oil,and milk. Sift in the flour and baking powder. Mix well.
In a small foil plate,pour the batter over, spread evenly.Add the grated green apple and spread evenly.
Top with sliced or flaked almonds and the raisins,and sprinkle a tablespoon of cinnamon sugar.
Bake at 180 degrees for about 15 to 20 minutes or until cooked through.
Whilst warm,spread with apricot jam,enjoy!
INFO & TIPS
Be sure to push the almonds in the batter to prevent burning
Can also use caramel essence for a lovely flavour
Serve this tart with custard or cream,an ideal treat for a cold winters dessert;
