INGREDIENTS
500 g cubed steak
1 medium onion thinly sliced
2 cloves garlic chopped
1 teaspoon chopped ginger
Green chilli (chopped and as much as you prefer)
1 teaspoon Salt
2TB Black pepper
1Tb Steak and chops spice
1tb Chilli powder
Dried thyme (a few sprigs)
1 TB cornflour
Beef stock dissolved in hot water (I used half of the knorrox beef stock cube)
1 teaspoon meat tenderiser
METHOD
In a pressure pot,heat oil and 1 teaspoon of butter. Add the onions and fry until soft. Then,add the ginger and garlic and chillies. Cook for a minute.
Then add the steak and all seasonings followed by the beef stock,cornflour and meat tenderiser.
Mix well and cook until the steak is tender.
Once cool,add the filling to a prepared pie crust
INFO & TIPS
You can also add chopped mushrooms
This filling can also be cooked on the stove,replace a pressure cooker with a pot.
The beef stock already has salt,so adjust this amount
Seasonings are as per your preference
