INGREDIENTS
280g water50g milk1 heaped teaspoon instant yeast10g salt10g sugar25g softened butter
500g white bread flour
METHOD
Add all the ingredients as listed above in a large bowl, excluding the flour. Whisk well to dissolve the salt and sugar.
Add in the flour and mix well until a ball is formed. Leave covered to rest for 30 minutes. Stretch and fold the dough. (Refer to our Everyday Bread recipe for more information on folding dough).
Refrigerate overnight or leave to rise in a cool place for 6-8 hours.
Shape and place in loaf pan. Final proof for 2 full hours before baking in a well preheated (190° fan assist) oven. Bake for 40-45 minutes.
Remove from loaf pan and leave to cool on a wire rack before slicing.
