INGREDIENTS
1 kg chicken (drumsticks is preferred) or 1 kg mutton 1 box Shan nihari spice 1 large onion sliced 1 cup Oil 1 cup flour Chopped ginger and slices of lemon for garnishing
METHOD
Fry onions in oil until crispy, drain and dry on paper towel
Use the same oil that was used to dry the onions.
Add the oil to a large pot or a pressure cooker and add the box of Shan nihari spice and saute on medium heat.
Add the chicken and 8 cups of water and cook/pressure cook until meat/chicken falls off the bone.
Mix together 1 cup of flour and 1 cup of water and add to the chicken, add the crispy fried onions as well and let it thicken.
Garnish with green chillies and dhania (coriander)
Serve with chopped ginger and lemon slices
