Flaky Steak pies

For the pastry 2 cups flour½ teaspoon saltTap water to form dough(¾ - 1 cup of water)Make dough and let rest for an hour
Divide dough into 4.Roll out large dinner plate sized rotis.Spread 2 tablespoon melted butter over each roti and stack one onto the other.The top roti, spread butter and fold into a Swiss roll.Cut dough into 12 equal portions.Roll out each piece into an oval shape.Pinch the 2 sides in the centre to form a bow shape.Spoon filling onto one half.Brush egg on the other half.Close and seal.Brush tops with oil.
Bake in oven until done.
Steak filling:
I used a Pressure cooker
2 chopped onions, fry in oil/ghee (Clarified butter) until golden brown.Add Steak and Braise for 10 minutes then add2 teaspoon ginger garlic pasteSalt to taste ½ teaspoon turmeric 1 teaspoon coriander powder1 teaspoon cumin powder 2 teaspoon red chilli powder (I use Suhanas XHot chilli powder)¼ cup lemon juiceI pressure cooked for 20 minutesOr cook in a pot until done.Last add in 4 tablespoon tomato sauce 2 tablespoon mayonnaise Mix Add fresh coriander
I used 6 cups flour for 3 doz palm sized pies.
