INGREDIENTS
1 cup Bimrie rice1 cup water1 ½ L full cream milk1 cup sugar1 tablespoon maizena (corn flour) (cornstarch)2 tablespoon rose water1 tablespoon orange blossom waterPistachios crushed, for serving
METHOD
1. In a large pot, cook the unwashed rice with the water until the water is absorbed, about 5-7 minutes.2. Mix ½ a cup of milk with cornstarch for slurry.3. Mix remainder milk with sugar and add to rice.4. Bring milk and rice to a boil and then reduce heat to medium-low simmer. 5. Stir the mixture frequently, until the rice is fully cooked, and the milk begins to thicken, about 15 minutes.6. Pour the slurry in pot, along with the rose water and orange blossomw water.7. If using nuts, add in chopped nuts now.8. Stir frequently until mixture thickens, about 15 more minutes.9. Transfer the mixture between 6-12 bowls, and allow to cool. It will continue to thicken as it cools.10. Garnish with crushed pistachios. Serve warm or chilled.#whenruhanacooks#ruhanaebrahimrecipes
