INGREDIENTS
Melt in the mouth👌
125g butter½ cup icing sugar¼ cup oil1 egg yolk
¼ cup mazienaFew strands saffron, crushed1 teaspoon Elachi (cardomom), preferably freshly ground 1 tablespoon ground almonds1 teaspoon coconut 2 tablespoons klim1 level teaspoon baking powder1 1/2cups flour + more as needed to make a soft dough
Burfee glaze¼ cup icing sugar¼ cup klim milk powder1 pinch Elachi (cardomom) powder 1-2 tablespoons milk to make a dripping consistency
Shaved almonds, for decor
METHOD
Cream butter and sugar well. Add in oil and yolk and mix well. Finally add the dry ingredients and enough flour to make a soft dough- not sticky.Roll out on floured surface, cut shapes and bake in a well preheated oven on 170°c until golden.Cool completely on wire rack then glaze.Sprinkle on shaved almonds and coconut if desired. Allow to dry then pack into airtight Tupperware.
