INGREDIENTS
2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
2 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda (optional, makes them fluffier)
½ teaspoon salt
2 tablespoon olive oil (or any cooking oil)
¾ cup (180ml) milk (or water if you don’t have milk)
2–3 garlic cloves, minced (or 1 teaspoon garlic powder)
1 tablespoon chopped parsley (optional)
2 tablespoon olive oil (for brushing)
Pinch of salt + garlic powder (for topping)
METHOD
1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a tray with baking paper.
2. Mix dry ingredients: Combine flour, baking powder, (baking soda if using), and salt in a bowl.
3. Add wet ingredients: Stir in olive oil, minced garlic, and milk (or water). Mix until you have a soft, slightly sticky dough. Add a little extra flour if too wet.
4. Shape buns: Divide into 6–8 pieces, roll into balls, and place on tray.
5. Garlic topping: Mix 2 tablespoon olive oil with a pinch of salt, garlic powder, and parsley. Brush onto the tops.
6. Bake for 18–22 minutes, until golden and cooked through.
7. Serve warm — fluffy inside, with a garlicky crust.
