INGREDIENTS
1 whole chicken (skin on, butterflied)
½ cup oil
Salt, black pepper, white pepper (to taste)
½ teaspoon egg yellow powder (for color)
2 teaspoon ginger
2 teaspoon garlic
Juice of 2 lemons
METHOD
Marinade & Bake:
1. Butterfly the chicken and poke holes for marinade absorption.
2. Mix all marinade ingredients.
3. Brush the marinade generously over the chicken.
4. Preheat oven to 180°C and bake chicken for 1 hour.
braai (bbq) & Baste:
1. Prepare a fire for the braai (bbq).
2. Mix fresh cream with a Nando’s sauce of your choice.
3. Baste the chicken while grilling to crisp it up.
4. Simmer the remaining sauce to serve over the cooked chicken.
