INGREDIENTS
1 kg chicken fillet - cubed2 onions - sliced thinly5 ml (1 teaspoon) ginger/garlic2,5 ml (½2 teaspoon) gharum masala2,5 ml (½ teaspoon) turmeric5 ml (1 teaspoon) kolonji (onion seeds)5 ml (1 teaspoon) red chillies5 ml (1 teaspoon) salt*4 small tomatoes - chopped*62,5 ml (¼ cup) yoghurt*12,5 ml (1 tablespoon) tomato puree*12,5 ml (1 tablespoon) tandoori masala or chilli sauce125 ml (½ cup) fresh cream100 g butter or ghee (Clarified butter)
METHOD
1 Braise onion in the butter/ghee (Clarified butter) in wok till gold in colour.2. Then add chicken and spices to the onion.3. Allow chicken, spices and onion to blend well together, then add in ingredients marked with an asterisk.4. Cook chicken till tender adding a little water if necessary.Serve hot in a large platter with the cream dribbled over the top. Garnish with chopped dhunia.
