🥐 Easy Puff Pastry for Pies 🥧

500g butter (divide into 4 equal pieces)
In a large bowl add:4 cups flour¼ teaspoon salt1 teaspoon baking powder
Grate in 1 piece of butter and rub with your fingertips until it resembles breadcrumbs.Add 1¼ cups ice water and form a soft dough. Do not overwork.
✨ For SprinklingMix together:1 cup cornflour½ teaspoon cream of tartar
🥐 Rolling & FoldingRoll the dough into a very large rectangle.Grate the remaining 3 pieces of butter evenly over the dough.Sprinkle generously with the cornflour mixture.Cut 2 small slits at each short end of the rectangle, leaving space in the middle.
Folding Method:Fold one corner up to the centre.Fold the opposite side down.Fold upwards.Fold in the sides.Continue folding until it forms a neat square.
❄️ Freeze for 30 minutes.
Second Fold (No Butter)Repeat the folding process without adding butter.Cut dough in half.Roll each piece out.Fold the top third toward the centre.Fold the bottom third over it.Fold again to form 2 neat squares.Cover and freeze until needed.
