INGREDIENTS
250ml cake flour
80ml cornflour
125ml castor sugar
10ml baking powder
4 eggs separated
60ml oil
80 - 100 ml water
Grated rind of one lemon
80ml extra castor sugar.
METHOD
Sift first 4 ingredients, make a well
in centre add egg yolks oil and water
and stir in.use the full 100ml rather.I
did. Beat egg white till stiff then
beat in the extra sugar. Take large
spoonful of white and mix in to loosen
the mixture. Then fold in the rest
2 20cm cake pans
Bake 180 for 20 to 30 minutes
When remove from oven, turn pans
upside down and cool
Slice each cake into two layers-
Sandwich layers with fresh cream.
Place caramel In the centre of the two
cakes.use a lemon flavoured yellow
Icing on top.
Top with strawberries
