INGREDIENTS
2 apples
2 pears
2 teaspoon honey depends on sweetness of fruit
little water
pinch cinnamon
pinch nutmeg
1 0r 2 teaspoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon oats
granola
ice cream or yogurt of your choice
METHOD
Preheat oven to 400° F. Lightly coat a large 4-sided
baking sheet or shallow baking pan with cooking
spray. Scrub the apples and remove the cores. Cut
into small chunks and place on the baking sheet in
one layer. Add the cinnamon, nutmeg,brown sugar in
a bowl add a few drops of lemon juice and add honey,
add a little water (1 or 2 teaspoon to thin ). pour over fruits
and toss well to coat all fruit.
take oats and mix with little water and ½ teaspoon honey
to make a thick malleable dough flatten with fingers
place over fruit and sprinkle with brown sugar.
Bake until the apples are tender but still holding their
shape, about 20 minutes, stirring about halfway
through. The apples can be served warm, room
temperature, or cold.
INFO & TIPS
If desired, top individual servings with about 2
tablespoons granola just before presentation instead
of oats.
try adding sliced bananas too..
