INGREDIENTS
                      125g butter
¾ cup castor sugar
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 ½ cup flour
¾ cup milk
3 teaspoon baking powder
                    
METHOD
                      Beat butter and sugar until creamyAdd eggs 1 at a timeAdd vanillaAdd flour and baking powder,alternating with milk.Bake at 180 degrees
Lamington Sauce 1 cup water.                                 1 and ¾ cup icing sugar.                Blob of butter.                              ½ teaspoon vanilla essence.                 3 tablespoon cocoa powder.                   Boil all together, when cool dip cake and roll in coconut. 
Red cake syrup1 cup apricot jam1 cup water.                          1 cup sugar Red food colouring
Boil till d jam blended in say about 8 minutes. Dip in  hot syrup
