300g cake flour
50ml castor sugar
10g dry yeast
60g margarine
50ml lukewarm milk
1 large egg ,beaten
100ml lukewarm water
Mix flour,sugar and yeast together
Melt margarine..add milk with egg to form a soft dough
Knead well for 10 minutes until smooth and elastic
Cover and leave to rest for 15 minutes
Knock down and roll into a 30cm square
Spread melted margarine over..sprinkle with castor sugar,cinnamon,pecans and raisins or chopped dates
Roll dough and form into a roll,cut into eqaul sizes with a sharp knife
Place the slices cut side down into greased round cake tins..cover with plastic and allow to rise for 25-30 minutes in a warm place
Bake at 180 until golden..cover with a thick cloth..allow to cool
Drizzle with a glaze made by mixing together icing sugar and boiling water
