Easy Homemade Croutons
(A Foodeva Marsay Recipe)
6-8 Slices of Bread(I used Brown Bread)
¼ teaspoon Salt
¼ teaspoon Lemon Pepper seasoning
3 teaspoon Olive Oil
~ Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
~ Cut the Bread slices into small, Bite Size, chunks.
~ Layer onto a baking sheet, and add all the above ingredients.
~ Toss all this well together.
~ Bake in oven for 5 mintues, then remove tray and toss Croutons to ensure even browning.
~switch the oven to Grill Setting and return tray and grill for another few minutes, until lighlty gloden in colour.
~remove from oven and cool well, before storing in an airtight container in pantry for 1-2 weeks, or in Freezer for indefinetly.
That’s it!!! Ready to use scattered over your favourite Soup or Salad.
Now you can proudly let your Family and Guests know…”Yes I have even made the croutons” ;).
1● ¼ teaspoon of fresh chopped garlic or Garlic powder.
2● ¼ teaspoon of Mixed Dried Herbs
3● Sprinkle of Parmesan Cheese.
