RECIPE
Kheer. A speciality my mum made on big nights. I'm sure many can relate to it. The reason behind it is unknown to me. I love making it. Not as good as my mum's. I take a short cut
Here goes
Kheer
½ cup sago soaked in water
In pot add 1 cup water and cook till sago is transparent. Add in 1 litre milk, 1 tin ideal milk, 1 tin condensed milk. You can omit condensed milk and add sugar to taste. Add in flaked almonds, coconut, pista (pistachio nuts) and 1 teaspoon Elachi (cardomom) powder.
Allow to boil and thicken slightly.
Serve with puris.
Enjoy.
Rice can be added as the first step. Then add in sago soaked in water. No need to cook sago.
