INGREDIENTS
Ingredients for the Cake:
½ cup water
½ cup oil
2 tablespoon cocoa
4 eggs separated
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
2 ½ teaspoon baking powder
1 cup castor sugar
1 cup flour
Ingredients for the Ganache:
1 90g slab of Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate
65ml of Nestle dessert cream or Fresh Cream
METHOD
Method for the cake:
Place cocoa, oil, hot water, castor sugar, flour, egg yolks, 2 teaspoon baking powder and vanilla essence into a bowl and beat well together.
Beat egg whites with half teaspoon of baking powder until stiff, then fold into the first mixture.
Pour into a greased baking pan and bake at 180 Degrees Celsius for 20-25 minutes.
Method for the Ganache:
Break the chocolate in to pieces and melt in a double boiler.
Pour cream over the melted chocolate and mix well.
Smooth the ganache over the cake with a spatula or palate knife.
Decorate as desired.
