INGREDIENTS
Makes about 12 regular muffins
500ml flour
125ml soft brown sugar
125ml cocoa powder
15ml baking powder
100g butter
2 chocolate flakes cut into chunks
125ml choc chips
250ml buttermilk
2 eggs
2 bar one bars
Melted chocolate for decorating
METHOD
Combine flour, sugar, cocoa and baking powder in a bowl. Rub in the butter. Stir in the chocolate.
In a jug, combine the buttermilk and eggs, then mix well.
Add to dry ingredients and mix gently to moisten all the dry ingredients. Use a little extra milk if necessary.
Spoon into muffin tins. Bake at 180 for 20-30 minutes.
Remove from oven and place on cooling rack.
Cut the bar one bars into thin slices and place on top of each muffin while still warm. Drizzle with melted chocolate if desired.
