RECIPE
Ingredients:
30 ml ( 2 tablespoon ) gelatine
250 ml( 1 c) cold water
500 ml ( 2 c ) sugar
30 ml ( 2 tablespoon ) cornflour
30 ml ( 2 tablespoon ) lemon juice or 2,5 ml ( ½ teaspoon ) rose water
Icing sugar
Soak the gelatine in 60 ml (¼ cup) cold water.
Combine the sugar and cornflour and add 250 ml ( 1 c ) water. Stir over low heat until the sugar has dissolved.
Boil for 5 minutes and add the lemon juice.
Remove from the stove and add the soaked gelatine. Stir until the gelatine has dissolved.
Pour the mixture into a buttered pan.
Leave to set and cut into squares. Roll each square in icing sugar.
