1 kg steak fillet ½ cup coriander ½ cup mint 1 teaspoon garlic paste 1¼ cups thick yogurt 2 teaspoon crushed cumin 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon freshly ground pepper 2 teaspoon ground green chilies 3 tablespoon lemon juice 2 tablespoon oil
Method Liquidize mint, coriander, garlic, pepper and ¼ cup yogurt. Add the remaining spices, lemon juice and marinate overnight. Add the remaining yogurt and cook on a non stick pan, basting with left over marinade and cook till steak is done
RICE 1 ½ cup rice 2 medium onions sliced ½ punnet mushrooms ¼ green pepper cubed ¼ red pepper cubed 1 tomato diced 1 cup mixed vegetables Boil rice with salt..leave aside.. Stir fry all vegetables with whole Jeeru (Cumin),2 whole slit green chillies and ghee (Clarified butter) till soft...when tender add to rice and season with Aromat (a South African Spice),parsley and a blob of butter..steam..
