1 kg chicken mince
2 slices bread
1 onion, grated (take out water)
1 egg
1 tablespoon green masala
¼ teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon dhana jeeru (cumin)
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon Aromat (a South African Spice)
Chopped dhania (coriander)
Mix all together in food processor. Shape like logs with oiled hands and place on greased baking tray. Bake for15-20 minutes in 140 degree oven until cooked.
To serve make a sauce with:
50g butter
1 teaspoon garlic
2 tab mayo
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon sesame seeds
1 teaspoon dried parsley
Heat in a bowl in the microwave for 30 seconds and mix well. Layer kebabs in a pyrex dish and pour sauce over. Bake in 180 oven until golden brown.
Tzatziki dip:
Greek yoghurt/Sour cream can be substituted
Add pepper, salt, sugar and mix well.
Serve with garlic pita bread and a side salad of chopped cucumber, shredded lettuce and cubed feta cheese. Cut fresh lemon wedges for squeezing on top of kebabs.
