INGREDIENTS
                      125g butter 
1 cup castor sugar 
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract 
2 cups flour 
2 teaspoon baking powder 
1 cup milk
Chopped glace cherries
                    
METHOD
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs and vanilla. Add the flour and baking and the milk and beat well. Pour into a greased loaf dish and top with cherries. Bake in a preheated oven on 180 degrees for about an hour.
