1 & ½ chickens cut & washed
2 teaspoon ginger garlic
1 teaspoon chilli 🌶 garlic paste
1 teaspoon fine red chilli powder
2 tablespoons tomato 🍅 paste
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder
2 tablespoons lemon 🍋 juuce
¼ teaspoon tumeric powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 cinnamon sticks
½ teaspoon cumin seeds
2 black peppercorns
2 medium onions finely chopped
3 medium potatoes deep fried
2 tablespoons ghee (Clarified butter)
🌶 Marinate meat with spices, condiments and tomato 🍅 paste.
🌶 Braise onions in ghee (Clarified butter) till golden brown.
🌶 Add marinated meat to this.
🌶 Cook on medium till tender. Add water as necessary.
🌶 Place potatoes over kalya when serving.
🌶 Garnish with dhania (coriander) and green chillies.
Variation: Can be made with mutton.
