INGREDIENTS
250g macaroni
1 onion chopped
2 tomatoes liquidised
2 tablespoon tomato sauce / puree
1 teaspoon garlic
1 teaspoon salt
1 or ½ teaspoon chili powder
½ teaspoon dhana jeeru (cumin) powder
¼ teaspoon pepper
¼ teaspoon tumeric
1 can tuna drained
METHOD
• Boil macaroni and set aside
• In a pot, saute onion (dont let it brown)
• Add all the spices and braise for few seconds
• Add the tomatoes and tomato sauce and leave it to cook till thick gravy ( I also add little water)
• When cooked, add the tuna and mix. Then add the macaroni, mix well and voilà
INFO & TIPS
- You may substitute tuna with 1 cup (or more) chopped polony
- You may also serve it in a dish with melted cheese on top ( dont leave it too long in the oven otherwise the pasta may dry up)
- What i do if i dont want to use the oven, after i mixed everything up, i switch off the stove, grate some cheese on top of the pasta (preferably mozarella), close the lid and leave it to melt with the heat of the pot.
