Lemon Poppy Seed Loaf

Lemon poppy loaf cake

250g butter
1 ½ cup castor
2 tablespoon oil
Vanilla essence
Lemon essence

beat on high speed till white & fluffy
4 eggs (add one at a time)

3 cups flour
4 teaspoon baking powder
*sieve the flour & baking powder 3 times)
1 ¼ cup milk
2 tablespoon poppy seeds
Lemon zest
Add the milk and flour Alternatively ending with the flour
Mix well
Pour into a greased loaf pans
Bake on 180oc till golden brown
Stand cake on a wire rack and cover it eith a thick plastic till fully cool

Glaze
Icing sugar
Water
Yellow colour
Lemon essence
Make a thin glaze (not runny )thin enough to drizzle
Drizzle the glaze onto the cake
Decorate with lemon jelly sweets or any deco you like
