INGREDIENTS
1. one teaspoon vanilla
2. two cups castor sugar
3. Two egg whites
4. one teaspoon cream of tartar
5. Six level teaspoon halaal gelatin
6. one cup boiling water
Add the gelatine in the cup of boiling
water and dissolve well.
While beating the above 4 ingredients
add the water and mixed gelatine slowly
while beating.
When stiff use spatula and pour into
tray to set.
Set in the fridge.
Maybe one hour. Feel when firm cut in
squares. It’s easier to use sharp knife
and spatula when removing from tray.
Roll squares in coconut. Toast coconut
in oven, enjoy.
METHOD
Beat the 4 ingredients (1 - 4 above)
for 20mins (approx. 15-20mins)
This is the only difficult part to beat
until extremely stiff.
Dont use a magimix, use a hand beater
or the kenwood.
Add the gelatine in the cup of boiling
