RUHANA EBRAHIM'S RECIPES

INGREDIENTS

Ingredients:
500g pasta of choice
500g chicken fillet cubes
1 tablespoon oil
1 teaspoon ground green chillies
1 tablespoon garlic
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon lemon pepper
1 teaspoon dhana Jeeru (Cumin)
Pinch turmeric
1 tablespoon lemon juice

Veg-
2 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Dash oregano
1⁄4 teaspoon salt
1⁄4 teaspoon dhana Jeeru (Cumin)
1⁄4 teaspoon chilli powder
1 teaspoon garlic
1 punnet button mushrooms sliced
3 carrots julienned/diced
2 cups frozen corn
1 green pepper diced
Zucchini (optional) sliced

Sauce-
60g butter
3 cups milk
1 cup water
1⁄4 cup flour
Salt and pepper

Garnish-
Italian herbs
Grated mozzarella cheese

METHOD


Heat butter in a pan, add lemon juice and mushrooms. Cook till water releases. Pour out water. Add spices and other veg with 1 more tablespoon butter and saute for few minutes (till corn is tender).

Cook chicken until done. Add veg to chicken.

Heat water and milk, add butter, meltin, then whisk in flour. Continue whisking until sauce is thickened. (pouring consistency).

Boil pasta in salted water till al-dente. Drain and mix in sauce. Add chicken and veg and mix in.

Spoon in oven proof dish, garnish with cheese and herbs. Melt cheese in oven.
