Take oil and ghee (Clarified butter) together in a pot. Now add Jeeru (Cumin),cloves,cinnamon,black pepper,green Elaichi,brown Elaichi,star anise,bay leaves,dry red chilies and whole dhana seeds. Then add 1 sliced onion sauté till light brown. Then add chicken ginger,garlic and salt. Cook 5 minutes. Now add yogurt,Garam masala,green chilies,peas and potatoes. Mix well cook on medium heat. Lastly add rice,chopped tomatoes,chopped coriander and mint and 2-3 tablespoon brown onion. Mix all well and cook on slow flame till rice done fully. Serve with raita and kachumbar.
