RECIPE
1 can condensed milkAdd 2 eggs beaten Add few drops of vanilla (optional)And or..Elachi (cardomom) essence1 teaspoon crushed Elachi (cardomom)Beat well together seperately in bowl
In seperate dish siftadd +- 2 ½ cups flourAdd 3 tablespoon melted butterRub together with the flour¼ teaspoon bicarb 2 teaspoon vanillabaking powder+-½ cup dessicated coconut 2 teaspoon baking powderMix well all the dry ingredientsWith the condensed mixtureMake a soft doughU may need more flour
Roll out finger length jambo shapeFry in medium to hot oil
Dip in syrup..3 cups water 2 ½ cups sugar with rose essence and cinnamon stickMake syrup to a slight thickish threadDip warm jambo in warm syrup (soak if u enjoy sweet) and dust dessicated coconut on it
Tip: you can omit egg and the coconut from the condensed mixtureBut add 1 tablespoon soji (semolina)See belowIf mixture requires more liquidThen add a bit of water to the condensed tin ..
