RUHANA EBRAHIM'S RECIPES

INGREDIENTS

Ingredients:
500g steak cubed small
1 onion sliced
1 piece taj
2 large tomatoes liquidized
1 tablespoon mustard sauce
1 tablespoon tomato sauce
3 tablespoon crystal's sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste
1 teaspoon dhana Jeeru (Cumin) powder
1 teaspoon chilli powder
1⁄4 teaspoon turmeric
1 teaspoon mustard powder
1 tablespoon brown vinegar
3 large potatoes
2 cups macaroni
Grated gouda cheese
Baby plum tomatoes
Dried italian herbs
Chopped spring onions


METHOD

Braise onion in oil with taj.
Add steak with spices, vinegar and ginger garlic.
Cook till no liquid remains, then add tomatoes. Cook till tomato has reduced and add sauces.
Cook till sauces heat through. Leave saucy.
Make mash with the 3 potatoes with salt, pepper and butter.
Boil macaroni in salted water till aldente.
Layer in casserole dish-
Steak, mash, macaroni, cheese, tomatoes, herbs and spring onions.
Place in oven to melt cheese.
