INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup castor surgar
- 2 tablespoon cocoa
- ½ cup oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
- 3 teaspoon baking powder
- 4 eggs
- ½ cup boiling water
- 1 cup cake flour
METHOD
Mix sugar oil and cocoa till creamy
Separate eggs and add yolk to above. Mix.
Now add ½ cup boiling water and mix till sugar dissolves
In a separate dish, sift flour and 2 teaspoon baking powder
Add the flour mixture to the oil mixture and beat well
In another dish beat the egg whites with 1 teaspoon baking powder until fluffy
Add to batter. Mix well and pour into greased baking pan
Bake in preheated oven at 180°C for 20- 30 mn
Enjoy as it is or decorate as desired.
INFO & TIPS
☆ This is a light cake in texture so it's a hit for me.
☆ I always 1/2 the recipe and i get 1 9'inch round pan with it.
☆ I usually enjoy it plain or you can make a mok icing or simply melt a cadbury slab and spread over.
