INGREDIENTS

Ingredients for filling :
1kg cubed steak
½ cup of sago ( soaked in cold water )
2 medium chopped onions
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon fine ginger and garlic
1 dessertspoon BBQ spice
1 teaspoon fine black pepper
2 chopped green chillies
Bunch of fresh chopped coriander
Boil 4 eggs..peel..cool..slice.
METHOD
Braise onions and ginger/garlic until soft.
Add steak and cook with spices till almost done.
Add sago..cook till transparent.
Add chopped chillies.
Lastly add chopped coriander.
Cool
Pastry :
Use large greased oven tray.
1kg ready made puff pastry
Cut pastry block in half.
Roll out one piece for base of pie.
Fill pie with steak.
Place sliced egg on top of filling.
Roll out second piece for top.
Brush with beaten egg.
Bake at 200 degrees Celsius covered with foil for 30 minutes.
Remove foil and bake until brown.
INFO & TIPS
Hint : can add more green chillies if so desired.Serves 8.
