½ cup dessicated coconut toasted lightly pan on stove to gold colour Keep aside to cool 250 g butter or margarine ¾ cup castor sugar Best till light and fluffy and creamy white Add vanilla essence Add ¾ cup mazina Mix well..add The toasted coconut Handful of crushed pecans Mix well again Now gradually +- 2 ½ cups flour ( use self raising if u got..or add ¼ bicarb and ½ teaspoon baking powder to the normal flour) Mix well Make 3 logs with dough Freeze for 10 minutes it slices well when dough is cold. Cut 1 finger width slices Bake on greased tray at 180" For +- 20 minutes Once cooled you can leave it plain or Decorate by melting Choc and sprinkling A bit of toasted coconut ..
