PAP :3 cups maize meal5 cups waterSaltThick slice butter CHUTNEY :½ onion chopped5 small tomatoes1 teaspoon ginger and garlic½ teaspoon garlic paste1 teaspoon chilli powder1 teaspoon dhana jeeru (cumin)½ teaspoon arad (Turmeric)¼ teaspoon oregano½ teaspoon mixed herbs2 big tins baked beans
PAP : In a medium pot add water, maize and salt bring to a boil stirring occasionally. When it starts to bubble add the butter and mix well. Cover with lid and leave to steam for 10 minutes until done. Alow to cool. When cooled form into balls and put in a pyrex dish.
CHUTNEY : In a blender blend tomatoes and onions together. Heat pot with with some oil. Add the ginger and garlic and garlic paste when it starts to sizzle add the tomato mixture with the rest of the ingredients. Allow to cook on medium heat. When chutney done add the bake beans and give one boil. Throw over pap balls sprinkle with grated cheese. Bake in preheated oven 180deg for 15 minutes.
